Genesis partnered with Snowmass Tourism to create a new identity, positioning and go-to-market campaign that juxtaposes the stunning, vast, uncrowded Snowmass landscape with the modern traveler’s craving for connection with family, with nature and to what really matters.
Leveraging an iconic symbol to build awareness.
Having designed the original Telluride Pickaxe “T” logo in the early 2000s, Genesis returned to this proud symbol 15 years later to coalesce the community, engage visitors and create a proprietary shorthand for Telluride’s unique experiences and attributes.
The iconic pickaxe “T” within the logo and visual voice anchor words with visceral, transformative and action- oriented points of difference to tell the resort’s unique and ongoing story.
Like nothing on earth.
Vail is the flagship of the Vail Resorts portfolio, which includes 7 of the top ski resorts in North America. In the early 2000s, Genesis was asked to refresh the identity and reposition the brand, which we did with the simple and inarguable truth, “Vail. Like nothing on Earth.” Among other things, Genesis was asked to integrate, for the first time, summer and winter marketing, which became the bedrock of a new campaign.
Not exactly roughing it.
When Genesis became the Agency of record for Vail resort’s Beaver Creek in the early 2000s, we positioned the highly differentiated experience with the tongue-in-cheek line, “Not exactly roughing it,” which the resort uses to this day.
Where authentic Rocky Mountain experiences await.
Genesis created the original Keystone logo and its evolution as well as an authentic position, “Where expectations are rewarded with discovery … where beauty is found in both the grandness and in the details … where nature and experiences blend to provide personal fulfillment.” Over several years of engagement, we helped with numerous brand initiatives to promote the all-season destination and enhance customer experience.

Asked to address wayfinding issues to improve visitor experience at Copper Mountain, Genesis created conceptual renderings, plans and signage opportunities to improve customer navigation between recreational, lodging, retail and dining destinations.
